Flying & Gliding

Amazing opportunities to learn to fly and experience the life of being a pilot. Get to fly the aircraft in regular flight and aerobatics, and even get flying scholarships.

Fieldcraft

Whether it be camping, rifle training, blank firing, camouflage & concealment or leadership exercises, 1297 offers incredible training to help you experience life in the Armed Forces, whether you're just there to have fun or gain experience for future adventures.

Target Rifle Shooting

We use a range of target rifes within the cadets, with organised shooting days with some of the best staff in the country to provide a safe and engaging environment. Cadets can participate in shooting competitions up to a national level, showing their skill at arms on military bases across the country.

Cadets working as a group to navigate themselves, as well as making use of radio's.

Radio & Cyber

At 1297 we allow our cadets to engage in exercises using handheld radios, or even a radio Base Station for long-range communications with other organisations. We use correct protocol, and allow our cadets to run through scenarios to better their communication skills.

Adventure Training

Adventure Training is the most physical aspect of being a cadet, at 1297 we have done Rock Climbing, Duke of Edinburgh Awards, First Aid Training, Archery & Leadership Courses. These courses/activities allow the cadets to see further into future careers or find new hobbies.
